Honey Basil Sauce

This is very tasty and very versatile!  Use as a marinade for meats, tofu, or veggies.


¼ cup fresh basil, chopped                               ¼ cup rice vinegar (or white wine vinegar)

4 cloves garlic, minced                                      1 TBSP olive oil

6 TBSP soy sauce or tamari                              ½ TBSP honey

¼ rice wine or sake (I used a dry sherry)


Mix all the ingredients in a small container.  Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
