Peppers

Sweet Peppers

We grow a few different types of sweet peppers on the farm.  We grow green bell peppers, red bell pepper, and Sweet Red Italia Peppers.  The Italia peppers are a farm favorite; they’re very sweet and are great fresh or cooked.  They are thinner than a bell pepper and come to a point at the end.

Storage and Handling:

Store peppers in your refrigerator crisper drawer in a loosely closed plastic bag for up to a week or more.  Be careful of excess moisture in the bag, this may cause the peppers to rot.

Culinary Uses:

All peppers, red and green, are great chopped fresh into salads, sautéed, roasted, grilled and stuffed.  They can be added to almost any dish.
