1 stalk of Brussels Sprouts
1/3 cup water or stock
1 TBSP butter
1/3 cup toasted and chopped walnuts
salt and pepper to taste
Cut Brussels sprouts off stalk and cut in half. Thinly slice one half of an onion. Braise the sprouts in about 1/3 cup water or stock for a few minutes, add the onion and continue to simmer until sprouts are just tender. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and simmer until water is evaporated, add 1/3 cup chopped toasted walnuts, salt and pepper to taste, and continue to sauté until sprouts are lightly browned and water is evaporated.
