Turnips

We grow Purple-Top Turnips that are mild and sweet.

Storage and Handling:

Turnips can be stored in your refrigerator crisper drawer in a loosely closed plastic bag for up to a month.

If you are fortunate enough to have a root cellar, they can be stored long-term when un-washed.

Culinary Uses:

Turnips are delicious boiled and mashed with butter, salt and pepper.  They can also be braised, roasted, sliced into gratins, and added to soups and stews.
