Cabbage

Storage and Handling:

Cabbage’s outer leaves will act as it’s own built in storage container.  It will keep in your fridge for more than a month untouched.  Just peel away the outer leaves before use.  Once you’ve sliced into your cabbage, store in a loosely closed plastic bag.  It will keep for a couple of weeks.

Culinary Uses:

Cabbage is much more versatile than most people want to believe.  It can be made into coleslaw with varying flavor profiles, sliced fresh into salads, sautéed, braised, stuffed, made into sauerkraut, and cooked into soups and stews.
