As a Fort Hill Farm CSA Shareholder, you will receive garlic in two forms, fresh and cured.  Fresh Garlic we harvest when the bulbs have grown to their full size and we distribute them to you without hanging them to dry/cure.


Later in the season we distribute our garlic that has had time to cure, this ‘dry’ garlic will store longer.


Storage and Handling:

Store Fresh Garlic in a glass jar or open plastic bag in your refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.  If you use garlic often, it’ll store fine on your counter top for up to a week.


Cured Garlic should be stored in a cool (50 degrees preferably), dark, dry place.  If you’re going to put it in a garage, be sure it doesn’t freeze.
